To mark the opening of the school year, an educational institution holds an acquaintance party. As the word implies, this is a gathering of students from all year levels so they could get to know each other better. Or if not, they could at least party together!
The BSFT students and the DFST Family celebrated their annual Acquaintance Party held at DFST Building on July 6, 2012. Mind you, it was fun and food-filled event. The rain did not even stop the students from cheering and laughing as they participated in the activities. The event was organized by the PAFT-KSC Organization with the help of the DFST Faculty and Staff.
The program started with a prayer by Prof. Dennis Antonio C. Varron and the singing of the National Anthem lead by Ms. Jeneveve Travero. The stunning and lively emcees were both from the Second Year Level.

The party wouldn't be fulfilling without Words of Wisdom. Two PhD holders shared their thoughts that inspire the students and they were Dr. Lorina Galvez and Dr. Victor Asio, the Dean of the College of Agriculture and Food Science. The students surely got some tips on how to manage their time properly and how to be a good student.
Presentations by different year levels were showcased that night proving that BSFT Students are not just smart but talented as well. Oath Taking of the PAFT-KSC Officers 2012 took place.

Another part of the program which captivates the attention of the students and also the faculty was the crowning of the Mr. & Ms. Acquaintance 2012. Students who shined and look charming at the party were voted by the students. The winners and placers received certificates. They were:
Mr. & Ms. Acquaintance 2012 - Mr. Jose Leonardo Abapo and Ms. Noriel Gay Bustillo
1st Runners Up - Mr. Letuz Sudaria and Ms. Rubilyn Ramis
The winners got 16 votes and the 1st runners up got 15 votes.
After the announcing of the winners, the candle lighting took place.

The party ended at 10:50 p.m.
